Cardiopulmonary Services Director
JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the CEO, the Cardiopulmonary Services Director is responsible for the overall operation of the department in a safe and effective manner. Organizes, plans, and controls the activities of all personnel in the department and assures compliance in the following: a) promote a standard of quality work and exceptional service at all times, b) maintain an equitable set of job performance standards for all employees, c) effectively communicate job expectations to employees and monitor their overall performance, (i.e.) actively commend/document outstanding job performance and educate/counsel employees who perform unsatisfactorily, d) promote a standard of excellence for attendance. e) manage the proper use of supplies and materials, f) maintain a comprehensive equipment preventive maintenance program, g) apply corrective action concerning department or personnel complaints to include a thorough investigation and appropriate complaint resolution within the parameters of the existing hospital policy, h) serve as a liaison to the medical staff, i) maintain a positive working relationship with all departments and personnel attached to the organization.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
1. Graduate from a fully accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
2. N.B.R.C. credentialed. (RRT)
3. BLS, ACLS, PALS (or become certified within 6 months of hire date)
4. State licensed. (Wyoming)
5. Three years' experience as RRT
6. Two years' experience in a supervisory capacity.
