Covid-19 Update

The number of positive COVID-19 cases in Big Horn County, Wyoming is declining, and COVID-19 vaccinations are continuing following the State of Wyoming's vaccination plan. Currently people in tier 1a & 1b of the plan are being vaccinated which includes residents 65 and older, and other groups as outlined on the Wyoming Department of Health's website: https://health.wyo.gov/publichealth/immunization/wyoming-covid-19-vaccine-information.

North Big Horn Hospital District has been coordinating vaccinations with Big Horn County Public Health. We are currently offering COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics every Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., please call the clinic at 307-548-5201 to schedule an appointment if you are a Big Horn County resident 65 or older.

For several weeks now we have not had any new residents test positive for COVID-19 at New Horizons Care Center! Also, at this time we do not have any employees out with COVID-19. We continue testing residents and staff weekly but are optimist that with the decreases in cases our surveillance testing frequency will also decrease.

While this is all good news we want to remind everyone to please continue to wear face coverings, wash or sanitize hands often, social distance and stay home when you are not feeling well. Together we make a difference.
