New Horizons Care Center Update

November 4, 2020 - New Horizons Care Center is reporting that 29 residents have tested positive for COVID-19, 12 have recovered, eight remain active, and sadly there have been nine deaths. There have been 28 confirmed COVID-19 cases among employees; 10 are still out sick, seven are out ill awaiting test results and seven are quarantining for exposures. We continue to use all proper precautions to ensure the well-being of our staff and those we care for to prevent COVID-19.

Rick Schroeder, CEO said, "This sharp rise in cases is alarming, but it doesn't have to continue to be this way and each of us can do our part to make a difference. COVID-19 can affect anybody - our friends, our neighbors or our loved ones - and we have to take its continued spread incredibly seriously. We all have to play a role in protecting those around us by following well-established public health guidance and recommendations. They are small things that can make a very big difference to those around us."

Again, we remind the community to be diligent about wearing proper face coverings in all public places, practicing hand hygiene often, social distancing and staying home when they are sick. Through these measures we can prevent further spread and protect vulnerable citizens.
