(H> Helmsley Trust grant awarded to North Big Horn Hospital District
North Big Horn Hospital District recently received a $153,800.00 grant from The Helmsley Charitable Trust to purchase state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment. This grant was part of a $13.9 million initiative by the Helmsley Charitable Trust in Wyoming, which aims to ensure the availability of modern equipment and technology where it is needed. These grants also include sonography and point-of-care ultrasound training across the state. These ultrasound devices will be used to help diagnose and treat patients and can give potentially life-saving information to providers. "We want to ensure that people living in remote communities will have access to advanced diagnostic technology at their local health facilities," Helmsley Trustee Walter Panzirer said. "Access to life-saving, quality health care is a basic human right, regardless of where you live." North Big Horn Hospital District purchased two point-of-care ultrasound machines that will be used primarily in the emergency room but are portable and can be used in other service areas as well. Diagnostic imaging is an important part of healthcare. Having access to this tool will help our patients receive the best possible care, and we're excited to be a part of this initiative.
