Clinic Receptionist
Full-Time Position Available

JOB SUMMARY: The physician office receptionist has responsibility for performing receptionist and related clerical duties in making patient appointments and maintaining steady, even flow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIILITIES:
1. Answers phones, screens and refers incoming calls and takes messages when appropriate.
2. Schedules appointments for the providers; and cancels and reschedules when necessary. Make reminder calls to patients for their appointment with the providers.
3. Greets patients, gathers information needed for billing purposes and verify insurance eligibility.
4. Enter charges from the patient visits assigned by providers.
5. Collect payments for point of service- co-pays and other payments necessary.
6. Must accept personal accountability to provide quality services and to treat ALL contacts in a considerate, cooperative and respectful manner.
7. Performs other related duties as requested and assigned by the supervisor.

Required: Knowledge of office equipment, computers, phones and effective human relation skills.

Desirable: Insurance knowledge and previous work experience in registration or healthcare.
